The Die Therm Control System enables the die casting engineer to clearly understand the thermal capacity of each and all cooling lines in a casting mold. This enables the process engineer to find the minimal cycle time and then clearly establish heat removal setpoints that optimize and maintain this thermal capacity and cycle time. Die Therm’s thermal die design services enable a die design that can achieve a large range of different cycle times based upon the fastest possible cell cycle rate. We use the physical principles of heat transfer to mathematically determine cooling line depths to achieve the desired cycle time target. We also utilize different mold materials to enhance thermal capacity as required. Through our data driven experience in designing molds and our continued accumulation of process data, we can provide near minimal cycle times for any die casting.
